Jennifer Lopez Steals the Show at Movie Premiere Amid Divorce Filing

OKMagazine.com has learned Jennifer Lopez was present at the premiere of “Unstoppable” during the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, but her soon-to-be ex-husband Ben Affleck did not attend.

Lopez and Affleck, famously known as “Bennifer,” began dating in 2002, got engaged, but broke up in 2004 amid intense media scrutiny.

They rekindled their romance in 2021 and married in July 2022. Lopez ultimately filed for divorce in 2024 without a lawyer, citing irreconcilable differences.

Lopez, looking stunning in a metallic silver gown, made her first major public appearance since filing for divorce from Affleck on August 20.

“She tried really hard to make things work and is heartbroken,” an inside source said of Lopez. “The kids are a top priority, as they always have been.”

The film, which tells the story of wrestler Anthony Robles, was produced by Affleck’s company, Artists Equity, and stars Lopez as Robles’ mother.

While Affleck skipped the event, Matt Damon and his wife were present, and Damon joined Lopez and the film’s cast on the red carpet for photos.

“What fun, what a joy to do something with her, see her be great, go to work with your wife, go to work with your best friend,” Affleck said of filming “Unstoppable” in 2023.

“If you don’t like who you’re working with, and if you have difficulty or trouble at work, I think it’s one of the things that can really cause depression, anxiety and pain for people,” Affleck added. “And conversely, [if] you love the people at work, you probably have a pretty good life, you know?”
