She plans to seize all firearms

In the recent presidential debate, Kamala Harris made it a point to address Donald Trump’s claim that she plans to seize all firearms if elected, as confirmed by OK Magazine.

Harris is known for her strong advocacy for gun control measures like universal background checks and assault weapon bans, which clash with gun rights supporters. This aligns with the Democratic platform in a highly partisan issue.

“This business about taking everyone’s guns away – Tim Walz and I are both gun owners,” Harris said. The disclosure wasn’t the first time Harris has spoken up regarding her gun ownership.

I am a gun owner
“I am a gun owner and I own a gun for probably the reason a lot of people do – for personal safety,” Harris said in 2019. “I was a career prosecutor.”
Stop with the continuous lying
She and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz both stated that they do not intend to take away anyone’s guns, emphasizing their commitment to preventing gun violence instead. “We’re not taking anybody’s guns away, so stop with the continuous lying about this stuff,” Harris said.
Second Amendment rights
“Kamala Harris and I are both gun owners. We’re not going to take away your Second Amendment rights – we’re going to prevent your kids from getting shot at school,” Walz said.
She keeps a handgun
Harris first disclosed her gun ownership in 2019, explaining that she keeps a handgun for personal safety due to her background as a prosecutor.
Stricter gun control measures
She has consistently advocated for stricter gun control measures, including renewing the assault weapons ban and universal background checks.
Recent gun violence incidents
Following recent gun violence incidents, Harris reiterated the need to address the “epidemic of gun violence” in the U.S. “Not only are Kamala Harris and Tim Walz law-abiding gun owners, as she says, but Donald Trump has had his guns removed from his possession because he is a convicted felon,” Rep. Jamie Raskin said.
