All of his answers
Economic policy
Mark Cuban recently condemned Donald Trump’s answers to questions on policy, calling them “gibberish.” Cuban has grown increasingly critical of the Trump campaign over recent months, specifically calling what he believes to be failures in economic policy.
All of his answers
“Did he answer the question at all?” Cuban wrote. “MSM [mainstream media] doesn’t want to address the fact that all of his answers today were gibberish,” he wrote separately.
Past relationship
During a speech at the Economic Club of New York, Trump failed to provide specific answers regarding U.S.-China trade and national security, focusing instead on his past relationship with President Xi Jinping.
Great relationship
“But I think I’ll have a great relationship with China. I had one before, and they respected us. But they respected us because they no longer thought we were fools. They used to think we were fools because we built China. They would take over $500 billion a year and use it for their military and other things. And we got nothing out of that. We got some cheap product. We got, ‘You can buy 19 pencils instead of two.’ Who the hell cares? ‘You can buy 16 dolls for your daughter instead of two nice dolls.’ And we got very little out of that relationship. They got a tremendous military power, and they still have it today,” Trump said.
Mainstream media
Cuban slammed the former President online, questioning whether Trump even answered the questions and calling out the mainstream media for failing to address the vagueness of Trump’s responses.
Child care
Trump also discussed child care affordability but offered no concrete policy proposals, instead suggesting that tariffs could potentially fund related initiatives.
Mad Libs
Cuban said that Trump’s answers resembled “Mad Libs” and argued that similar responses from other politicians would’ve receive much harsher criticism from the media.
Direct responses
“The man talks #gibberish and the MSM ALWAYS covers for him,” Cuban wrote. “Every article about the questions so far has made it sound like they were direct responses. They were #gibberish.”
