Trump staffers

OKMagazine.com is learning that a confidential memo from Trump staffers recently surfaced, directing staff to refrain from speaking to the media without prior approval.

Recent polls indicate the race between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris is very close nationally. Harris enjoys a strong base of support, sparking concern among Trump staffers.

“Nothing says a campaign is in disarray quite like a Trump campaign staffer leaking an email about campaign leaks,” Democratic strategist Matt McDermott said. McDermott was one of several experts who spoke up on the deeper meaning of the memo.

The volunteer
Experts have interpreted the memo as a sign of a struggling campaign team. “The campaign has determined that New Hampshire is no longer a battleground state,” a volunteer recently wrote. Reportedly, the volunteer is no longer with Trump’s team.
Disinformation campaign
The memo coincides with a significant U.S. Department of Justice indictment involving allegations that pro-MAGA influencers were covertly funded by a Russian media company as part of a disinformation campaign.
Right wing circles
“Lots of people in right wing circles being warned by lawyers and bosses not to speak to the press right now. Journalists are trying to join dots. We’ll see how far they get,” media consultant David Clinch wrote.
The situation
Analysts have suggested that the situation could severely impact the Trump campaign, as many staff members may be implicated in the unfolding scandal.
Fifth Amendment
“Probably just advising them not to wave their Fifth Amendment right to remain silent by talking to the press (even on background) … Not like they’re worried about the Russian interference investigation or anything,” CNN’s Jeffrey Evan Gold wrote.
The hatches
“This is the political equivalent of Battening down the hatches,” Republican consultant Mike Madrid wrote. “The Russian story has long legs and a lot of people are gonna get sucked up in it. Everyone on the Trump campaign will be one-person removed from the people involved – or involved themselves. This could rip a campaign apart.”
