During a recent campaign event, former President Donald Trump spread misinformation about influential talk show host Oprah Winfrey, as fact-checked by OKMagazine.com. Vice President Kamala Harris recently participated in a livestream event titled “Unite for America” with Oprah Winfrey. The event focused on Harris policies to support the middle class, restore abortion rights, and tackle gun violence. It appears this event has possibly gotten under Trump’s skin, causing him target Wingrey during his political rallies.He falsely stated that he appeared on the final episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” which aired in 2011, while he actually appeared months earlier. This lie has been repeated by Trump multiple times, as confirmed by OK!“A long time ago, Oprah Winfrey asked me to do her last Network Television Show. The final week of her show was a big deal, and it was my honor, with my family, to do it,” Trump said. Democrats noted that Trump has repeatedly exaggerated his connection to Winfrey, who has endorsed his political opponents in recent elections. Trump also inaccurately asserted that Vice President Kamala Harris avoided discussing her past job at McDonald’s during an event hosted by Winfrey. Trump said, “And didn’t Oprah ask her about her time at McDonald’s? And she just sort of didn’t want to answer that one. ‘Let me not talk about that.’ Oprah said, ‘You work at McDonald’s, that’s great.’ You know, Oprah didn’t hear the end result; she never worked there. So Kamala just sort of hid under the desk, along with every other answer she gave.” In reality, Winfrey only referenced Harris’s job briefly as part of her introduction, and they did not discuss it further. “In no other country on this Earth could her story unfold the way it has.
